Life and Death

8th March 2011 mark the peaceful death of my Father, Gene at the age of 71.

He is never a very good man both to other people and to the family, but he is my Father. He taught me the skills that I needed to live and he gave me education. Without him, I will never be the person I am as of today and without him, I may not be here writing in the first place.

I remember bits and pieces of him, both in the good and the bad way. I remember him coming back to work every single day and ask me to read the books I learnt from school to him. I remember him helping me stitching and altering trousers for me. I remember him cooking dinner for me. I remember him teaching me how to eat a pawn with chopstick/folk and knife. He taught me table manner and elegance. I remember him bringing me to the coffee shop of Mandarin Hotel for ice-cream and I remember him giving me a vast amount of money to go to UK for studying. His other side...well its hard for me to reveal that, as I wish to have the best thing of my Dad being remembered.

To me, there is also a sense of emptiness when you notice him passing away in a sleep. He did not say bye but I am pleased that he suffer no pain in all these.

I think people come to this world with notice, they possess many in their life time but eventually, they go away with nothing but love and memory of others.

I wish to give my GREATEST THANKS to my Dad, he done such a great part in creating me. May you rest in peace.
